Worship Services
|
What to expect? Visitors are always welcome. People generally gather around 10.30AM to greet each other and prepare for the service. At 10.45AM our main service begins. A typical service consist of three parts: 1) Talking to God: Worship in Music and Prayer. During this time we follow a program of music from classic and modern Christian writers. Participation is voluntary and an outline will be provided by a greeter as you enter the service. During this time an offering is taken, as an act of worship toward God. No one is expected to give. Simply pass the plate if you are visiting with us. 2) Listening to God: Worship in the Reading and Preaching of God's Word. During this time, we listen to the Bible read. Since we believe the Bible is God's Word, we listen to God with a desire to live in accordance with his instruction. We generally use the English Standard Version of the Bible, but you are welcome to bring your favorite version with you. 3) Talking to Each Other: Worship in Response Through Fellowship and Encouragement. Following the Message, we often desire to discuss the sermon, or to have someone pray with us as we respond to God's Word. We provide snacks and an informal environment where you can get to know members of our congregation during this time. You may also be interested in the interactive bible classes we have for all ages at 9.45AM. We use the Generations of Grace children's Sunday School curriculim for ages 3-10, and our Family Bible Class (all ages) features various gifted teachers. Need Directions?
